"I would," love to escort you back," he says as he moves to stand, and falls like an idiot when he does. He just starts laughing. His natural lack of coordination was not working in his favor while drunk.

"I... can stand, I can stand," he says as he makes his way to his feet then offers her a hand up.

Then his brain starts forming connections... about why he was here to begin with. "I need to be somewhere..." he says with a frown. "And now I don't want to go." He moves to run his fingers through her hair, seeming genuinely sad as he looks at her.

"Well ok, as much as I might want to, I don't want to keep you from your duty. But the miai isn't anywhere near done...sooo, let's have those lessons some other time alright, Kitsune-san?" she offered.

And then she drunkenly misread what he was trying to do with his hand, and pulled him into a handshake and a hug.

"Alright, Deal!"

A mixture of disappointment and happiness hits him with the hug. He doesn't realize it now but he'll feel relief that nothing more happened tomorrow. For now he agreed.

"We're definitely going to see each other again soon then."

She bowed, a bit unsteadily.

"Definitely. Good luck with your Duty." she offered, making her way out of the house.

Murato watches her go, kicking himself.
