“By all means. Shika-san is the host. What would he prefer?”

[Shika Nesshin]

"I mean, I can learn shogi from you, if you'd care to show me how to play. I'm sure there's a board available..."

One of the staff nods where Nesshin can see it.

"But perhaps Seppun-chiji might wax poetic about the wonders of his home, as well. Surely it must differ from here."

[Seppun Yuzu]

“I am not a good player, neither a good teacher. If Shika-san is ok with that, let’s hit that board.” He shrugs, as he moves past the it.

“Well. The Imperoal Capital is as impressive as one can imagine. I was born there and don’t actually know many of its districts.”

[Shika Nesshin]

"Tell me of yours, then," Nesshin says as one of the staff sets up the board. "We get so little information about--it was Chisei, correct?"

Yuzu begins to set the board so they can play. He starts to explain the rules, focusing not to actually succeed in winning, but in teaching. "I told you I am not the best sensei, or player."

He chuckles as they go, "Chisei is where the Seppun Hill stands. So, it is a sacred place beyond comparison. If not, of course, the Throne Room where our Glorious Emperor sits. It also has the mighty Embassy of the Crane. The Dragon also have their embassy there. The Minor Clans, too, under the leadership of the Tortoise. Chisei has, to me, the most beautiful road in the Capital. It leads to the Forbidden Palace, and it is the one used by the Emperor himself. Not that he wouldn't be able use another, but that's the official one."

Nesshin nods, following along closely with the instructions and, rapidly, manages to flank Yuzu's pieces, achieving victory.

"Like hunting, really," he muses.

"So Chisei is really the home of your Family, then," he adds in response to the Seppun's comments. "Since the Seppun lived around the Hill when the Kami came."

"Hunting?" He shakes his head, "It is more like commanding troops... well... you won. So, I'll consider hunting as a good analogy, too."

Yuzu rubs his chin, adding, "That was more than a thousand years ago. But, true. It is home to me. Perhaps not to those at Kyuden Seppun, since it is also called the Second Home of the Hantei, and oddly, Hantei-shiryo-heika and Doji-kami lived there while the Imperial Capital was being built."

[Shika Nesshin]

"Was Kyuden Seppun standing then?" Nesshin asks. He does not know this, so he asks.

Tea and light snacks are suddenly served.

[Seppun Yuzu]

"I believe so. Perhaps it was after the first assault. I would need confirmation from the records." The young boy receives a tea and sips as the geisha rush around elegantly.

[Shika Nesshin]

"But you've not lived there?" Nesshin asks. "Or did you?"

Maybe I should have spent more time in the library reading up on the others here, he thinks.
