Narumi stared at him for a long minute.
It's a good thing he's so pretty.
"They're like stories for people who are too rich to read themselves, so they get actors to play it out for them." She smirked lightly.

[Asahina Bo]

He just shakes his head in disbelief, "Weird, but I guess it ain't my place ta judge. What do you reckon for tomorrow? Some sorta scavenger hunt?"

[Usogawa Narumi]

She blinked and couldn't help but smile.
"That'd be interesting! It's a good guess, at least. I don't know how that'd relate to qualities in a marriage though?" She prompts.

[Asahina Bo]

He ponders, laboriously, before shrugging a little, "Not sure. Payin' attention to the small things maybe? Makes as much sense as sumai did even if I love sumai... I should make siu mai..." He shakes his head for a moment, "Sorry, got distracted there."

[Usogawa Narumi]

Watching him intently as he thought, then a nod when he answers, and an amused smile when he gets distracted, "Hai, you've probably got the right of it. Small things are vitally important, sometimes they speak louder than grand displays.."
She nods to the simple lunch, "Where did you want to start?"

[Asahina Bo]

"Oh, yeah, you served tea let me handle the food!"

Though it had been cooked by someone else Bo's eye was still keen when it came to quality and combinations. With swift, fluid motions his chopsticks portion out some of the noodles and plates them with the best selection of the sides for the most complimentary experience then offers it to Narumi. The arrangement is not artistic, that is not his style, but it is delicious.

Pressing her lips together, she smiles as a new blush colours her cheeks. "Thank you, Asahina-san," she accepts the plate, setting it down in front of her before picking up a portion of onigiri with her chopsticks and takes a small bite.
"Good, neh? But not as good as what you served the other day."

[Asahina Bo]

He blushes a little at the compliment and smiles, "Aww thanks. The staff here are good but not as wide a range of experience I reckon. I'm glad you liked it."

[Usogawa Narumi]

Her heart flew into her throat at the blush from him, and she looked away quickly, reddening further as she tucked hair behind her ears. "Well, it's true. It's obvious to anyone that you're truly at peace in the kitchen. Providing for those you love, making sure they're looked after and taken care of, is an honourable trait in a husband," she chirped.

"I hope whoever the Deer pick thinks so too. Otherwise I ain't got much to offer."
