If it was a play they ragged on, I imagine, it would be because it touches on something everyone feels, but slightly differently about, you know?"

"Oh yeah? Then what part of the acupuncture story touched in your soul to make you say it was bad with a poor plot? They asked teasingly before booping his nose.

"The idea of suffering alone without being able to explain why. The protagonist never truly gets a chance to express what's wrong or reach out for help until it's over, and in the meantime the outside help which thinks they know act in accordance to the perceived, not actual, needs of the individual. If they wasted less time fucking around with 'oh no, what is the cooky acupuncture making him do now' and, you know, gave the least bit of attention to the inner turmoil, you could have had an actual tale about face in our society and the isolating nature of it."

He tried to play his reaction off as casual, and not one he had been mulling over for a while.

"Or something, I don't know."

Unsei didn't really have any words for that. They hadn't been expecting something like the in depth analysis they were told and didn't know how to respond to it, so instead they just snuggled closer to him and gave him a gentle hug.
