A scratch on the door of the Mantis can be heard besides the bells in the hair of the Kaito priestess.

Hiroto opened thee door and gave the Kaito a bow.
"Good evening, Kaito-san. Please come in." he offered civilly.

"I hope I am not interrupting, Mantis sama." She said softly. "And that Inari's blessing has fallen upon you." She walked into his room.

It was...a pretty standard inn room. While it was clearly lived in, there were no personal touches to indicate hobbies or preference.
Hiroto closed the door, and sat down, motioning for the Kaito to do likewise.
"So....where to begin?"

"In my room, at this miai, or in this life?" he joked. "One hopes the answers are different from one another."

"Life..." She shook her head. "If you know your purpose then you are really lucky man. All the people I have met here have such long trekked stories yet I have not of my own. This is my first time this south... I know the stories that people that go to the temple I help keep tell. That is their lives not mine."

Hiroto shakes his head.
"Ie, so far my purpose in life seems to be to serve as a warning to others. 'Don't trust the Crane,' 'Don't trust the Scorpion.' 'Take the abuse of your so called betters with a smile.'" he recounted.
He chuckled a bit.
"Were you in need of cautionary tales, Kaito-san? All I can really advise is that when one is born to the wrong sort of people, there's nothing but pain ahead of them."

"In my line of work people talk. By those tales I could say to you, that I am not to be opening my arms to you. Many say the Mantis are bunch of rascal pirates not to be trusted; as you don't trust those from the Crane and the Scorpion." She tilted her head and smiled. "That the Lion would punch me in the face if I transgress their honor. Yet here I am being courted by a Lion and a Crane." She looked at the Mantis and showed him her hand. "These hands have treated allies and enemies alike. It is not my nature to do harm but to aid."

"You're a very gentle soul Kaito-san. It is well spoken about the miai. A precious flower to be protected...fought over." he said. "HOpefully the garden is not trampled too badly in the quest to claim the most desired bloom. While it makes the bloom that much rarer, other flowers deserve water too."
