[D8 EM, Moshu's room, Closed] Morning appointments

[Kitsu Moshumaru]

After performing his morning stretches, his morning plain rice and black tea was bought to him.

Sitting down at his desk, he took out his calligraphy set and began to write... well, honestly, it was mostly nonsense when put together, but it was therapeutic to him nonetheless.

[Kaito Oubaihime]

A scratch on his frame door could be heard besides the jiggling bells of the Kaito. "Kitsu sama... are you in?"

[Kitsu Moshumaru]

The Kitsu nodded to himself, putting aside his brushwork for now. A... Crow? Came to his window, which he gave some spares from yesterday to.

"Come in, Kaito-san."

[Kaito Oubaihime]

The Kaito came in and bowed to the Kitsu. "I hope I am not interrupting your morning routine." She kept her bow.

[Kitsu Moshumaru]

The Kitsu stood to bow, before sitting back at his desk and gesturing to a spare seat.

"There is still plenty of time, Kaito-san, worry not. How can I help you?"

[Kaito Oubaihime]

"Ah... Hai..." she took a seat. "I was wondering. Why would we have to bring things that are not to bring?"

[Kitsu Moshumaru]

The Kitsu was not sure what to make of that one, and his eyes showed it.

"...I don't think I quite get the question. Maybe it would help if I knew what the 'things' we are not to bring are?"

[Kaito Oubaihime]

"war..." She said sadden.

[Kitsu Moshumaru]

"war..." She said sadden.

"War."

This was going to be a long conversation, he realized.

"The first thing to understand is that no one truly loves war and stays sane. Even if an individual can stay safe, it must be done at he cost of everyone around him. Each soldier, their family and their descendants are burned away in the fires of war - on average, that's about 13.8 lives worsened by war per solider involved. No one had studied lived through the pain of war like the Lion."

A sip.

"War, however, is the ever present, last-ditch effort to solving insolvable conflicts, or conflicts people refuse to resolve otherwise. It is as much a part of the kami's gift to us as speech, walking, emotion, or thinking. Unless you break the part of the body that does it, these are all things everyone can do - we can all speak, we can all walk, we can all feel, we can all think."

He paused.

"We can all go to war. As long as he we can find a way to harm those on the other side - from slinging rocks to advanced cavalry formations. Everyone can use war to overpower other people. As long as that instinct exists, there ill be war of some kind, sadly. It was one of the few parts of nature Akodo-no-kami saw he could not change in nature."

He thought about how to explain it more clearly, giving the Kaito time to speak.

[Kaito Oubaihime]

"I understand conflict and understand the idea that well not all is... for every yin there is a yang. It seem inevitable... even if I want peace in my heart I I know I will be on a side of these conflict." The Kaito sighed.
