(D0, EM) Oh Lawd He Comin'

A rhythmic shudder shakes the earth. Wood creaks and bends under great strain and duress.

An earthquake?

The town under siege?

The door slides open with a little too much, unintentional, force as a sheepish samurai enters the inn - crouching down to fit through the door as he tries to adjust it as he shuts it behind him.

"Umm... g'morning? Is the owner here?"

Bo looks around, still somewhat hunched, trying to spot the proprietor. He had heard it was a Cat... though he didn't quite remember what their mon looks like.

A large grey cat rested comfortably upon the blanket covered table at the front of the inn. The cat looked up at the big bird with the sort of tranquil curiosity that courtiers crave and cats had as easily as breathing.

"Nyaa?"

The irony of simplicity is that it sometimes reveals the truth faster than might otherwise happen for those brighter and more aware.

Cat? No, cat.

The owner is a cat. There is a cat. That must be the owner.

Bo tries to step gently as he approaches the reclining feline though the wood still creaks and shifts beneath him.

His bow was labored, and rough, though only out of ill-talent not any intentional disrespect, "Ah.. g'morning Neko-san... sama?...san, Neko-san. I'm Bo... um, I mean... I'm Asahina Bo and I was told I was to sleep here." He looks towards the stairs and listens to the wood creak beneath him as he shifts his weight, "I hope you have some rooms down here..." He shakes his head, "But that's not what I meant to be askin'. I was wonderin' if, um, maybe I could make use of your kitchen sometimes?"

With feline grace, Renjiro hopped down from this table, and walked down the hallway towards the kitchen.

He stopped after a short bit to turn around and look expectantly at the Crane.

Though his footfalls are heavy Ichiro moves with surprisingly fluidity, if not true grace, as he follows the cat. The movements of one well-used to not damaging things with their bulk as they move through spaces not designed with folk like them in mind.

"Uh... thanks, Neko-san."

Down the hallway the giant and the cat went, as the smell of cooking food got stronger. Eventually a door led to the origin of the scents, the inn's kitchen. It was a busy time of day with about a half dozen peasants busily preparing meals for the inn and taking them to those early risers in the inn's dining hall, or to rooms for those who preferred to dine in solitude.

The suddenly filling of a doorway with a Crane earning a few quick glances, before eyes were turned back to work. If there was a samurai there, it was his business. If he wanted something from the kitchen staff, the burden of speaking first lay upon him.

The Crane offers an awkward little wave to the servants within, "Uh... hi... I'm Bo... Asahina Bo. I was askin' Neko-san if I could use the kitchen sometime so I guess this is a yes?" He looks down at the cat and shrugs a little, "I, uh, I don't need it right now though. But you might see me sometimes so... um... yeah have a great day?"

The peasants bowed to acknowledge that the samurai's words were heard. They certainly weren't going to tell him no.

Renjiro looked up at the Crane expectantly.

Bo tries his best, operative word is try, to offer a thankful bow to the cat in the tight quarters, "Thanks Neko-san. Uh... are there assigned rooms or do we just take one that's empty?"

"Nyaa"

Renjiro started off down a different hallway. Again, he paused and looked back to make sure the Crane was following.
