He took out his tea cup, a spare as well, and poured a little for the Crane, placing the small kettle down between them.

"I think sharing a bit of information may be in order." His mask tugged about his face as if he was quirking a smile. "Seppun-sama is likely to gain a beautiful bride of my clan."

"It is of no trouble, Asahina-san", he said. "I was on my way to do the dojo, but even these early hours are long. I would be honored if you'd stay a moment."

He scooted his tea cup slightly toward the pot between them, looking at him pointedly with his dead eyes. The cup he'd filled for Soyokaze still sat on the table as well.
