Edogawa sat at the table, with breakfast set out before him. It remained untouched, however, as he studied a number of documents, making notes.

Murato entered the common room and bows to the Dragon. "Kitsuki-san. Do you mind if I join you?" He had a bowl of rice and some tea.

He looked up, then bowed. "Please, Kitsu-sama. I would be honored."

He set the documents aside and finally turned his attention to breakfast.

"Something personal you are working on?" he asks, looking to the notes as he sits down. "Or something I might be able to help with? I know my way around documentation and paperwork if you need an extra set of eyes."

There was no push, just an honest offer from a bureaucrat.

"Just my journal." he shook his head. "Recording my experiences here and seeking any deeper meaning there might be. Not much so far."

"I'm sure there is a deeper meaning in there to glean. Just takes some time and patience to learn from experience from what I've known."

He takes a bite of his rice.

"How have your experiences here been" he asked between bites. "Are you prepared for the miai to end?"

"I am prepared for that, yes. But I am also quite nervous about the Shika's selections. It's difficult to have wondered for two weeks, and now it feels like I am staring down the shaft of an drawn arrow."

He nodded in understanding. ""Their methods are very difficult to interpret. I'm not sure what to expect, but I don't really have specific hopes, either."

He nods. "It is difficult to know their minds, but they seem to be suited for these types of events. I hope that they will continue to do so without disturbance as well."
