[Usogawa Narumi]

"No," she laughs and shakes her head, "She's... an intimidating force. I think that's why she keeps me around? I'm much more, um, palatable."

[Asahina Bo]

"Very much so. Well I reckon I don't know her so I can't say yer moreso but yer alotso." He grins, "Why'd ya pick Narumi... if ya don't mind me askin' that is."

[Usogawa Narumi]

A surprised smirk. "I'm a lot? Explain further, Bo-san..."
She then took a deep sigh when he asked, "It means 'the roaring of the sea,' I guess I found it ironic? Being a river rat, and all, I've never even seen the sea. I ...I wanted, um, to take back fear of the waters," she admits candidly, and looks around for somewhere to sit.

[Asahina Bo]

"Well you said you were more pal..palat.. nicer. I was sayin' I don't know her so I can't say you're more nice but you're a lot nice!"

As he listens about the name he nods, "That makes sense. I hope it does help if even just a little."

He taps his chest where the peony pendant sits, "Ummm I was supposed ta be Botan but when I was little I couldn't get the two parts together and by the time I was big... well not this big but big, ya know... they felt Bo would fit better anyway. It's my ma's favorite flower though."

[Usogawa Narumi]

"Palatable," she says slowly, in his favour.
Then nods appreciatively, considering, "Botan is very lovely. And, uh, I could tell, at the .. ikebana? I saw your arrangement. It was ..really nice." she moves towards him.

[Asahina Bo]

A slight flush, "Awww, I'm glad ya liked it! To be honest lookin' at yours helped a lot in me getting' it right. Does that count as cheatin'?"

[Usogawa Narumi]

Closing the distance, bruised hands moved to rest to his very broad chest lightly. "I mean... Anytime you're paying attention to me is kind of like cheating fate, isn't it? But I won't tell if you won't? So long as it all works out in our favour."

[Asahina Bo]

"Oh... um... uh... yeah..." It is obvious that he is flustered and very, very far out of his element all of a sudden.

[Usogawa Narumi]

Narumi looks way, way up, trying to get a read on him, pulling back slightly due to the significant height difference. "I don't want to push you to do anything you're not sure of." she says quietly, despite the privacy of his room.

"Oh? Oh no! I mean I reckon anything with you I'm sure of. Just... uh... not anythin' I'm used to."
