[Day 11, Early Morning- Common Room] The Fortune of Bad Decisions Rides Again (Open)

[Shiba Raizo]

Raizo wasn't sure quite when he and Narumi had gone from "getting a few drinks" to "getting utterly annihilated," but that line had definitely been crossed.

He vaguely remembered helping her back to her room, remembering not to go in, and then staggering back to his own. He remembered actually getting undressed by himself despite his condition.

All of that checked out.

He had no recollection whatsoever of writing the incredibly awful poems extolling Aimi's virtues that he'd found scattered around his room upon waking, and that... annoyed him more than his hangover.

He stumbled into the common room, hearing chatter about Gaki (really?), Scorpion murdering some kid's parents (well, that checks out), and some reference to his... conquests (well, he HAD engaged in some intense sexual activity involving both Aimi and Kaikoga Koi at the same time, but that was just the once).

Whatever. Can't wait to see what they make us do today.

He motioned for a simple breakfast and sat down, resting his head in his hands as he waited.

I have GOT to lay off the sake.

[Usogawa Narumi]

Another night where she remembered virtually nothing. Given the way things were going at this cursed miai, it was all the better. Her head hurt, her throat hurt, she felt like she'd swallowed sandpaper and bamboo shards were ground up behind her eyes.
The Otter all but stumbled into the common room, wincing and putting up a hand against the offending sunlight. Her hair was pulled back in the simplest of knots, and she wore no makeup- which made her split lower lip stand out angrily without paint to try and hide it.
.... It seemed both her and Raizo had gotten the hen's clucking, though not together, thank the kami.

Speaking of! She spots the Phoenix looking about as horrible as she felt and makes her way over, groaning and moving very slowly as she lowers herself to sit across from him, wincing.
"Thanks for showing me such a great time last night, stud." oh, apparently her voice was hoarse too. That was different.

[Shiba Raizo]

"Haven't you heard? I have so very many conquests, I could hardly deny you a turn, O Light of My Life."

He kept his voice low- more out of sympathy for the Otter than for his own benefit.

"I have got to lay off the sake."

[Usogawa Narumi]

She cracked a sardonic smile, and stole his cup of tea for herself without blinking.
"Or, just hear me out... We could never stop drinking. Then we'd never be hungover, and everything would be grand, my Reason for Being..."
Sip.

[Shiba Raizo]

"You've clearly never been screamed at by any of the gunso I answer to..."

He stole the cup back, took a pull and then replaced it between them.

"And I think Aimi would be... less than enthused. Plus... eventually we'd pass out, and then..."

[Usogawa Narumi]

He mentions Aimi and her face settles, albeit slowly. Fingerpads move to rub at a temple. "Right, right. She'll want you home with her."

[Shiba Raizo]

"Well. Of course, we could always set a room aside for you..."

He paused.

Narumi had enough triangular juggling going on in her life, but...

"Might do her good to have someone with some class around, you know?"

[Usogawa Narumi]

She smiled a bit sadly at that, realizing they only had a few more days like this together before they parted ways.
"Hai, well, when we swing by the neighbourhood, I'll be sure we stop by to visit." It's maybe unclear which 'we' she's refering to, but does it matter?

[Shiba Raizo]

"You're always welcome. You know that."

He rested his chin on his hand and looked at her. He seemed... amused.

"If only to keep the rumormongers happy."

[Usogawa Narumi]

Her eyes narrowed playfully and she squirmed, shifting position under his gaze. "We wouldn't want to disappoint them, would we..."
She picked up the cup of tea again, but paused before taking a sip. "I didn't do anything, um, regretful last night, hmm?" It seemed to be a real concern, and spoken quietly.
