"You think so?" He smiles, "I hope so. I'd hate to be a bad husband. I guess I reckon everyone thinks like that but I guess not everyone was raised by Asahina. I might not have got the gift but carin' for others and keepin' them safe is what we're all about."

[Usogawa Narumi]

Narumi rubbed the back of her neck. "I think you'll make a fine husband, Asahina-san," and were I matched up with you, I've no doubt you'd make me a happy wife.
She contemplates things heavily, and draws her knees up to rest her chin on them so her head bobs when she talks.
"The Otter are known for becoming family with everyone we meet. Trust is given easily, as one needs to trust the hands they work with on the water for survival. My school are entertainers, diplomats. My family are descended from geisha, and have honed and refined the art of peace-keeping and providing a safe haven for others."
Her brow furrowed. "I trust you. Not because it's in my nature, i assure you i am an anomaly who does not trust easily. I trust you because I can plainly see you are a good man. And I'm happier to have met you."

Although he was, of course, happy to hear the latter he was oblivious to how important it may truly be to Narumi.

"Um... so if you're all so close are you worried about havin' to marry out? I mean I don't mind if I end up not a Crane at the end of this but we're not that close to each other so it's not like a big loss."

[Usogawa Narumi]

"Shika Renji-sama asked me the same thing. I'll always be at home on the river. But I'd be happy to travel anywhere. I'm not worried about leaving the Otter, because I've been brought up to know that family is who you surround yourself with."

[Asahina Bo]

He nods as he, slowly, ponders the words, "That makes sense I suppose. I'm happy to hear it won't be hurtin' you if that happens."

[Usogawa Narumi]

"...You'll find very little hurts me, Asahina-san. I like to think I have a thick skin."

[Asahina Bo]

His brow wrinkles for a moment, "I mean it looks pretty soft ta me but I'll take your word for it. Glad to hear."

[Usogawa Narumi]

"I- I-" she stuttered and everything grinded to a halt. "Thank you?" she managed to squeak out.

Bo oblivious to blue-screening the Otter or why just smiles and nods, "You're welcome!"
