"I like it just fine Shosuro-sama, more or less depending on the instrument and my mood at the time I suppose. Do you play something? there seem to be a fair few musicians attending the Miai, sadly i am not among them."

Is that it, is everyone here an artist?

[Shosuro Hikimasu]

"I'm an amateur, really", he explained. "Though the Shosuro have a long past of performance, I was trained as a bushi. Yet as I am still a Shosuro I have some skill with it. I ask because I was of the mind to start some manner of performance here, with something of an exotic theme."

The door opened, and a servant left sake and sweets for them. After they left, Hikimasu poured some for the two of them.

"Do you like more unconventional things? Even perhaps foreign?"

Soyokaze accepted with both hands. "Arigato. Do you still speak of music or the arts more generally?"

"Music mostly, I'm working on a project of sorts, to help a friend...I think of them as a friend..well, perhaps more but I suppose it'd have to mutual, so a friend. They're quite good."

He held up his cup in toast.

"To possibility maybe, that's what people should say, right? I prefer never repeating a mistake, so I'll toast to that possibility."

"Kampai" Soyo lifted his cup.

"Well there are certainly enough here to accomplish that, I would be interested it watching such a performance and would be happy to help if such a thing were needed. It would certainly be a break from all the plays."

"Then if you would, support this endeavor, I'm not very personably to most, and if a Crane is talking about art people will listen."

[Asahina Soyokaze]

"You have have support Shosuro-sama but I do not know it will help your cause much. I have not actually met many of the people here yet, a handful maybe including you. To those I do know I will certainly speak of it, Ouibaihime-sama has a lovely singing voice and though we don't speak much I believe Kitsu Murato plays something. Beyond that there are not many, I have not even met my fellow Crane yet."

"Well certainly it's a miai, i would hope everyone would like a chance to show off", he agreed. "There will be time enough, and in return come to me if you have a problems, I can't promise violence or dirty work, but Scorpion have a way of resolving things."

[Asahina Soyokaze]

The young Asahina blanched at the suggestion that he would seek someone out for violence. "Th-thank you Shosuro-sama, likewise if there is something I can do for you the Shika have granted me the use of a stall in the market where I keep my forge." Soyokaze considered his next words carefully. "Are you having a SUCCESSFUL Miai?"
