It had been a long time, Moshumaru thought, since he'd seen Hajime. Two days? Three?

His mood would depend on how well they did - and so to prepare, he meditated before tea.

It didn't really work.

Hajime was all pretty smiles as he arrived in the teahouse. He offered a bow Moshumaru's way before pulling up a seat.

"Well, I thought that went well, Kitsu-sama!" he beamed.

The Kitsu himself is absolutely pumped as well - face and decorum prevent him from grabbing the other man's arm and slapping his back in an old Akodo Military fashion.

He bows deeply to Hajime, not returning to his seat until the man is himself seated, excitedly pouring him a cup from his pot.

"It's like I said - I laid the groundwork and you made us soar. Sorry for going off the path I set so early but I ah, kind of ran out of ideas and needed time to think, you know? That powerslide was a fantastic move!"

"Kitsu-sama is most kind! It just came to me! You brought so much physicality to the opening of the act and the bridge, it just seemed like we needed that last bit to carry it through and find an ending. I must say, your introduction was very flattering, but I apologize if my second verse was too closed-off to build on. That is my fault entirely."

He took a sip of the tea. "This is delicious!"

"You say that, but that was where I got the idea for the bridge in the first place. When you described her light shining down and reflecting on the sea- fortunes, if I had thought of this at the time, but I got a mental image of walking into a shallow pond and basking in that beam of light, just standing their and taking it's glory, you know?"

Hajime smiled brightly. "Thank you, Kitsu-sama. I wonder as to your choice of theme, though. Is there someone at the miai that has begun to shed her light on you this way?"

The Kitsu sighed, obviously lovestruck.

"I couldn't hide it for a second, could I? The section about Lady Sun and Lord Moon is based on a poem I wrote for her as well."

Hajime sighed internally. Well, fuck.

"Excellent!" he exclaimed brightly. "Love is a very complementary expression for you, Kitsu-sama. I wonder, who is this lucky girl?"

The Kitsu shook his head.

"Forgive me, Kitsuki-san, but a gentleman never kisses and tells. If we were after the same thing, we might hurt each other before the Miai's end, you know?"

Hajime raised his hand to his mouth to cover his laugh. "Oh, Kitsu-sama, I think we can guarantee we are not after the same thing. I don't think we ever have been."
