(D8, EM, Closed) On the Deer Carpet

Shika Katsuteru's office wa always a hub of activity within the castle. Reports came in, orders went out. He was one of the busiest men in the Kyuden, and his duties meant necessarily long hours.
This morning, however, people were giving the place a wide berth, as he had a very special appointment. Still, he had paperwork to review while waiting for the errant Deer.

He will not have to wait long at all, as a clearly-just-took-a-deep-breath-because-he-ran-as-soon-as-summoned Nesshin reports in, bowing deeply.
"Shika-jodai," he says, loudly but not offensively so, "Shika Nesshin, reporting as ordered."
A summons from the boss is never a good thing.

Katsuteru deliberately put away the scroll, and gazed at Nesshin for a few moments that seemed like an eternity to Nesshin.
At last, he spoke.
"Nesshin-san....do you know who I am?" he said without humor.
This...was going to be a long session.

Oh, fuck, he thinks.
Getting called in by the boss is never good.

"Let's be a little more through in our answers today, Nesshin-san. I don't want you any confusion on your part when you leave here today." he replied.
"Who am I, Nesshin-san?"

Well, that explains it.
Nesshin cannot hide the shame from his face as he says "To Shika-jodai, via the officer of the watch."
He takes a deep breath. "Which this one appears to have failed to do, since Shika Yuki was not the officer of the watch.
"And so this one submits to Shika-jodai's discipline."
