While the interviews with Pei Pei are private, candidates still line the hallway awaiting their turn, or simply loitering after their interview. To take their mind of the interviews, many converse with their fellow candidates.

After exiting the room where Pei Pei interviewed her, Sakura seems... confident enough, smiling serenely. She did not, she thinks, do perfectly... but she made a good enough showing for herself.

Emiko exited the room looking very quiet and pensive.

That went about as badly as it could have...

When Hikimasu exited he seemed wary, looking about everywhere. He stopped short of bumping Emiko, bowed instead and walked around her, thinking about making his escape.

Oubaihime waits rocking back and forth a bit uneasy because she knows her memory is not that good.

Raizo looked around.

Why's everyone so worked up? It's just a tedious chat with an old woman putting you on the spot because she can. It's like none of you ever had an annoying aunt...

He spoke aloud, to no one in particular.

"Hope some of you had more interesting stories to tell than I did. 'Cause I nearly dozed off listening to myself."

With her riding coat, her riding boots and her war-time face paint, Mitsuki couldn't have looked any more Moto unless she had brought her horse down the hallway with her. She probably wasn't going to focus her presentation on her botanist great-uncle who had given his name to a new species of dandelions.

Soyokaze exited the interview chamber looking as pale as a snow maiden, whatever had happened had not gone well but eyes held within them a hint of determined pride and relief. He paced around around for a bit deep in thought before considering leaving for less crowded places.

An angry Mantis stomped his way out of Pei-Pei's chamber and down the hall, angrily muttering something about 'Half a legacy.'.
