“Thank you, Kitsu-san, I appreciate the compliment!”

She’s thinking fast, weighing the benefits of attributing her success to Togashi-sensei, denying it’s how she was taught, and claiming something else entirely.

“Well, Togashi-sensei taught me the basics. I don’t think what I did was really…you know…in line with his techniques. Although I suppose the first hit was almost that way? I kinda…accidentally went a bit sparky. Togashi-sensei did say I was always quite creative, heh.”

She’s clearly embarrassed but pleased at the same time.

“I’m glad you liked the mushroom! You did well yourself too!”
The Kitsu accepted the compliment with decorum, noticing the embarrassment and deciding to alleviate the focus.

"Thank you - I once spent a month working alongside a kemari devout. I suppose I picked up a thing or two during that time."

Koi frowned at her cousin, her physical self was not capable of such endurance based tasks and watching her struggle was hard. Koi nodded, and held out a napkin.

"Do you need anything? Do you want me to help get you back to our rooms?" Koi asked.

Inspecting her cousin only made her worry more. "Fu-chan your breathing is hard, I need you try and catch it okay? Take deep birth. OK?"

She offered her cousin her fine fan it either fan herself.
Fujiko did as instructed and breathed deep of the fresh air brought in by Koi's fan. Eventually, she calmed down and started feeling mostly alive again.

"Thank you, nee-sama. I still feel like I should go to the springs again. It seems like it'll become an habit to do so after each of those tests..." Although maybe without as charming a company as the previous day... If the other lady that seemed to be about as well as her didn't have the same idea.

She turned a bit to see Murato who was standing silently to the side.

"And who's your friend?"

She smiled. "Hai... And thank you for the compliment I expected far worse. The earth kami tend to call my name from time to time."
"I can hardly blame them," Nesshin replies. "You've a good flavor on the tongue, with your name, and no few would stand to have you approach."

He grins. "Or would seek to embrace you."
The Phoenix shied a bit as she looked away noted poor Yuzu angered. It broke her heart to see him like that it. The girl sighed. "Seems that some other needs this one. Shika would you follow this one?"
She stood up and walked over to the Seppun Governor.

Koi smiled as she saw her breath. "Fu-chan just focus a little bit, and take a few more deep breaths. You were very bravey to do that but also silly." She said, softly and frowned. "Well, after this Ill take you to the Inn then, nay?"

She sighed softly. Fragile as a butterfly, stubborn like the Mountain she was born on.

Koi kept fanning, and motioned for a heimin to fetch some water for her cousin. "Did you remember to take your medication today?" Koi was proper in concerned relative mode, a trained carer for her sick cousin.

She glanced at the Kitsu with an frown for a moment had to remember that she was a Samurai and shouldn't acknowledge that her cousin was fucking dying on her.

"Kitsu Maruto-sama please allow me to introduce to you the finest maiden of my family. This is Kaikoga Fujiko, the eldest daughter of my Lord Kaikoga Aki and perhaps one of the best painters I have ever had the pleasure to call my cousin." She said formally, bowing. "If you wished to find yourself a wife, you'd find no one more beautiful and devote as my dear cousin."

"Fu-chan allow me to introduce the elegant and refine Kitsu Maruto of the Lion Clan, I have only recently gained the pleasure of knowing the fine Bushi but his knowledge and offer to help with my research into Yume-do is going to be invaluable." Koi said warmly, her eyes still watching her cousin.

When both of the moth looked to him he took it as a sign that they were not discussing anything overly private any more. He took the few steps to be in appropriate listening range and bowed with the introduction provided by Koi.

"It is a great pleasure to make your acquaintance Kaikoga Fujiko-sama. If you are interested, I could go and get some tea or water?" he said, making the offer in the interests of helping her feel more comfortable, but also doing so under the pretense of just a standard drink to go with conversation.

Sakura smiles warmly, tilting her head in acknowledgement. "My thanks, Shika-sama."
Zang nodded.

"Of course, Kakita-san. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I can't imagine listening to kemari is particularly exciting." he admitted, though he was certainly keeping his attention on the players and how they performed.

"Yes, Koi-nee-sama, I've taken everything I need," Fujiko answered with a tired smile. "As much as it feels like this, I'm not actually dying, I promise."

The Kitsu then stepped in and Koi introduced her. She was somewhat embarassed by the situation in which she was introduced, as it felt very much like Koi's compliments were irony, but her cousin always said such things about her.

"Nice to meet you, Kitsu-sama." She bowed from her seat. "It's very nice of you to offer, but I wouldn't dare ask of you such a thing. I believe a servant has been sent already. I do wish we could talk under better circumstances, though. Perhaps later today at the tea house? Would you also be free then, nee-sama?"

"I already have something scheduled for the tea house later," he says. "In fact, I have a good amount of events scheduled for the day already. But if you are interested I would gladly share breakfast with you tomorrow," he offers.

Koi stood beside her cousin listening and nodding. Good, this is what she wanted a good chance for her Cousin because if Koi was destined to fail at least her cousin would find happiness and this Kitsu seemed genuinely lovely.

Nesshin stands by while she does. Here, his thoughts are his own.
Koi noticed the Deer standing lost in his own thoughts and her eyes travelled down his masculine for with almost an artists appreciation as she blushed.

Oh, the things you can do with that lantern and the silver bell... She thought and looked at her Cousin as the heimin brought over the water in time.

"Ah, not breakfast but could I borrow your assistance in an evening a few nights away about the subject we discussed? I could use the assistance of the Kitsu family." Koi said warmly, moving to sit next to her cousin.

"Fu-chan, do you want me to help you to the Inn?" She asked softly.
