When attending a miai, it is considered proper to give a gift to the host to thank them for the invitation. This introductory meeting time would be the proper place, and Shika Renji is availble to receive them, and play the game of gift giving. Fortunately, the characters' families have provided them an item of Rarity 6 or lower to present to the Champion. And of course, if one can show off their political acumen with a particularly adept presentation, they're already a step ahead in the game.

Players have three options with how to proceed with this:

1) A good time was had by all (Default): The character presented an appropriate gift, played the game without embarrassing themselves, and escaped with honor satisfied. This option requires no action by the player, we just assume that at some point in the gathering it was done and no one particularly noticed. The only reward for this option is not having to play the gift giving game. If you do not choose option 2 or 3 by dayflip, you have automatically chosen this option.

2) Game on!: You may make a separate thread in the Hall in the event timeslot to roleplay out the gift giving game with Shika Renji. Provide a link to that thread to this one so the GM can keep track of them. Please keep in mind that if a lot of players take this option, it may take awhile to process, but they all will be processed in time. If the character gives a particularly good gift and/or presents it particularly well (GMs discretion). They will gain 1 Courtship point, 1 Glory and 1 Honor. If they give a particularly bad/offensive gift, or present it in a poor manner they will lose 1 Courtship Point, and Glory/Honor as GM judges appropriate (It is, after all, a minor clan champion). Keep in mind there is no dice rolling for this, it's all roleplay and GM discretion. Also keep your gifts within the realm of feasibility, that is no items of arcane power or things that would shift the balance of political power of the Empire.

3) Happy Birthday to Me: Deliberately not giving a gift. If you choose this option, you merely need post note of it in your private forum. You will lose 1 courtship point, and suffer a major breach of courtesy and a minor loss of Glory, but you do get to keep the gift your family sent with you for yourself (Gain an item of rarity 6 or lower).

A Ronin's Gift

(I admit I laughed at the description in the daily thread, "fortunately your family has provided you an item of rarity 6 or less" yes I am sure)
