It was hard to say which was more surprising to Koi. The whisper of 'they've already left your rooms' or the fact she could sense a strong spiritual energy linking Renjiro to something under his blanket covered table.

"They've already been." Koi said sharply, her eyes harder. "We might be to late."

Koi turned a quizzical look to the cat of the establishment. "Renjiro-sama, we think this might be an emergency - might we have the permission of the owner to check the Kitsu's room?"
