Oubahime didn't know if she should chuckle or just let the joke pass. The young Kaito just smiled. "Some may like the loneliness of reading or the peace that it can bring." The girl lowered her head in what could be consider shame.

"Well, that may be the case for some. But they are wrong to do so in a miai. One should not mistreat these amazing hosts by hiding in the corner during this ceremony." He comments, not angry, neither too exited. Simply assured of his mind.

The Kaito looked up and smiled. "Well one doesn't need to be in a corner reading to enjoy a day Imperial sama. The gardens seem like a very romantic place to sit down and read. Perhaps share a book or read the story to someone." She mused. "Or below the Cherry tree in the temple... it would be such a lovely sight."

He glances back at her with the corner of his eyes, "Not that I would enjoy this romantic scenario, since it sounds both dangerous to one's duty and kind of lame. Yet, knowing more stories is something I should strive for. Great idea you had, Kaito-san. I should get someone to read it out for me. I would socialize and learn at the same time."

The Imperial nods, proud of the idea she brought up.

"Perhaps you can ask one of the minor clans to share a story with you." She looked back at Yuzu averting the eyes probably looking at the hem of the hakama of the imperial since it is probably for the best. "That is if you do not find it lame... to ask someone of the minor clans to a nice picnic and share stories."

"As long as it is not some lousy romantic pillow book novel, I guess it would be fine." He thinks to himself while looking to the passerbyes and calculating if Oubaihime was being sarcastic with her recommendation or not.
