Nesshin's thoughts race, many of them going to some quite sordid places, lewd man that he is. In the darkening light, he smiles at some of them, thoughts that would keep him warm were the evening cooler. "Perhaps another dance," he says, and thinks because I did like watching you move, "or maybe you could tell me what that dance means that we did just do together."

"Well, I think I had enough dancing for tonight." The Kaito didn't want to mess up her hakama nor her kimono and that little mishap was the start of something worse. "The dance is one to praise the great elemental dragon of water. You may know that there are many elemental dragon. The dance we just did is one to please the creature. I hope that we get light rain tomorrow rather than a storm."

"Do you think," Nesshin responds, "that the dragons attend so closely to us? Or, perhaps to a devotee such as yourself, but to me?" His voice lifts in pitch, not in volume. "I am not so sure that what I do matters to so lofty a being."

Oubaihime tilted her head and became serious."You doubt the power that a priestess of the water dragon and her new friends will not be heard by the elemental dragon?" She fakes a pout. "Why do you doubt the power of friendship?" Then she chuckled lightly so the Shika could know that the Kaito was joking.

Oh, I like her! Nesshin thinks, and he smiles.

"Are we friends, then?" he asks, hopefully.

"I hope so." She nodded. "Do you not want me to be your friend?"

Not only that, Neshsin thinks.

"Yes, of course," he says. "Can never have too many friends, after all. And who would deny such beauty?"

"Is there something like too many friends?"She looked around to search the beauty he is speaking of. " There is none here but you and I. Do you mean the sky?"

"The sky is beautiful," Nesshin replies, "but it was to you I referred."

He closes some of the distance between them. "Even in the dimming light, you glow with loveliness."

Not used to be complimented Oubaihime was a bit abashed. "Ah... Thank you sama..." She now averted his eyes.
