Kyuden Shika

"I'm a quick study," Nesshin says. "And I've no doubt I'll be able to match your movements."

The Kaito nodded. "Very well...." She starts to show the steps slowly to the Shika.

Thinking back over many festivals, Nesshin asks as he watches "Is this a dance any may do? Or are there...restrictions?"

His eyes follow the Kaito closely.

"Many may do this... There is no restriction." As she does the slight jump the girl stumbled yet she recovered. "Join me Shika sama." The girl giggled.

"Of course," Nesshin replies, falling in behind her. "I'm happy to partner you!"

And he faithfully mimics her steps--including the stumble. Hell, he doesn't know it's not the way to do it.

"And I'm glad to hear you laugh," he adds between steps. "It's a pleasant sound."

"One must be happy and laugh for life is short, Shika sama." She chuckled when he also did the stumble. "If one doesn't, life shortens... the heart can feel such pressures and relaxing and flowing must be done."

Nesshin gives his own little chuckle.

"Do you feel your own heart pressured?" he asks. "And what do you do to relax and let things flow?"

Because I have ideas, he thinks.

"When I feel such pressure I tend to the honest work Hotei can bring. I tend to sweep the temple floors." She finished the dance. "Sometimes I pet the temple cat." She just smiled.

Finishing his own dance and bowing to her, Nesshin notes "I also often find it soothing to stroke such. Something about the soft fur, the purring." He smiles. "Perhaps we can do so together while we are both here?"

She let out a sigh of relief thanking the kami that she didn't fall flat on her face while dancing in uneven ground. "You have quite the host at the in... I think Renjiro sama will get many a pets." She would like a hug but... this stranger would think of her to be too forward. They did have a nice dance together. "I already chose the dance. It is your turn for an activity, Shika sama."
