Before retiring, Nesshin takes some time to sit quietly, thinking over the day. Looking up at the stars, he wonders idly about events that have occurred and others that will, almost as if he is waiting for something. He fondles the ribbon he has recently come to have for a moment, thinking I could've been much smoother than that as the clouds gather.

Nesshin stands, sees the skinny young woman, smiles, and bows. That he tucks the ribbon back into his obi when he does so is certainly coincidental.

"Shika Nesshin," he says, introducing himself. "And, yes, the clouds seem to want to share with us before long. But that will be to the good; there's something sweet in the smell of petrichor, and the sound of falling rain is often a soothing balm."

The girl in red and white smiled and bowed. "This one is Kaito Oubaihime, Shrine maiden of the Phoenix lands." The girl straightened. "It is an honor to meet one of our honored hosts." She bowed once again straightening quickly. "Rain is quite nice and quite welcomed to cleanse the environment of dark energies and thoughts."

"The honor, of course, is mine," Nesshin replies, "and the pleasure, I assure you. And from your words, I'd guess you're participating in the miai?"

He gestures to another place on the wall to sit--no benches, as such, but still places where a person need not stand. That it's close to the one where he'd been sitting, well, it makes for easier talk, does it not?

"That is correct, Shika sama." She followed the man to what would be a near by rock that would be confortable for seating. "It is quite the event to host specially with such illustrious temple."

"So you've visited our little place for Musubi-no-kami, then?" Nesshin asks. "Of course; as a shrine maiden, you'd almost have to, wouldn't you?"

"Hai... It is quite the sight. The cherry tree is so majestic that calling the temple little gives it little credit to its splendor." Oubaihime nodded sagely. "Even if I have seen bigger temples I would not categorize this one in little." Then she chuckled.

"I'm glad to know our home has pleased you," Nesshin replies, smiling. And it's a pleasant laugh to hear, he thinks. "Has anything else tickled your fancy yet?" he asks, leaning in towards her just a bit.

She gave it some thought. "The halls, those tapestries are so interesting... the gardens are so full of flowering plants...." The female sounded quite excited about the many things in the castle to see. "One day is not enough to see all... so many things... and so different from the Phoenix lands."
