Re: D11 LA Catching Up with Friends (Expecting)
Aimi drums her fingers on the table in thought for a long moment, studying her friend. Then, slowly, she shakes her head. "I'm sorry, Koi-chan," she says with a sigh, "But that sounds... like your line of work, not mine. I'm not looking to do good for the minor clans, and frankly the idea of spendin...

Re: [Day 11, Late Evening Aimi's Room] The Fortune of Bad Poetry (Closed)
"Raizo," Aimi says, a soft smile on her face, "That was actually rather lovely. Unconventional, to be sure, but well spoken and heartfelt, with some decent wordplay and imagery." She lifts a hand. "And, before you engage in another layer of performative self-mockery, remember that there is a differe...

Re: D11 LA Catching Up with Friends (Expecting)
"I have been made the Imperial Secretary of Minor Clan Relations for the Governor Seppun Yuzu as of yesterday, and I have been advised to begin forming a team to work directly with me in the future." Her jade eyes, flickered as she spoke. "I believe that the Fortunes have drawn you into my life aga...

Re: D11 LA Catching Up with Friends (Expecting)
"The kimono was a gift from an... anonymous admirer," Aimi says with a wry smile, taking her seat again. If Koi wanted to play coy, well, that was her prerogative. "The hair piece was from Raizo-san. It turns out he can be quite the romantic, once you dig past the layers of cynical disdain and gener...

Re: [Day 11, Late Evening Aimi's Room] The Fortune of Bad Poetry (Closed)
"Oh my. Improvised drunken poetry? How could a girl refuse," Aimi drawls, but her expression is still delighted. She's had people she can share this kind of rough, unpretentious intimacy with before, but only the barest handful, and to find another in (she hopes) her future husband... ah, sometimes ...

Re: D11 LA Catching Up with Friends (Expecting)
"Ah, Koi-chan, please feel free," Aimi says with a grin, accepting the hug and the offer to get better tea. She's wearing the other woman's gift to her, the autumnal design with the copper leaves, and her hair is held in place by the beautiful pin in its wooden sheathe. "It's been too long since we ...

Re: [Day 11, Late Evening Aimi's Room] The Fortune of Bad Poetry (Closed)
Aimi opens the door this time, having only returned to her room a short time ago, and raises her eyebrows at the sight.
"You know, Raizo, one of these days I'll have to come visit you," she says with a fond smile, "Can't let you be doing all the work for this relationship now, can I?"

Re: OOC Chatter
Oh that makes sense, I was wondering why you might want to do literally anything other than "strike" on your first turn. But if fatigue doesn't 'count' for most cases, it... honestly still might be better to strike if it's a lethal duel, since damage is damage, but I can see the idea.

Re: OOC Chatter
Good point, especially since 5E assiduously shied away from the blastomatic shugenja of yesteryear... Thankfully in this case being a Voice of the Wilds shugenja is great because I can just pick whichever combat invocation I want to use, no problem, assuming a downtime period to prepare it. Aimi ju...
